When we went to Pennants Saturday before last we met Sue and son Ash from Highton. Sue is the proud Mum of a young son who, with his Highton teammates, won a National Fours championship.
A bunch of guys were rolling up on the top green and the synthetic. Terry and Arthur helped us.
They told us Pennant practice was about to start and they were going to get 80 Barefoot bowlers on the synthetic. They told us to roll up on the grass which Jean was very happy about.
We started to roll up. Mal got a couple then Jean got a couple. After Mal got a four, every time Jean got shot Mal drove it off. No fun. Jean just threw her bowls down and gave up.
