Solved debacle at Exmouth

We came to Exmouth yes, to see the bowling club but we had to get a wheel alignment on our car. What a debacle but eventually nicely resolved.

We popped in to see the little club before our appointment.

Like other places the outside is bigger.

Neil met us at the gate. He was setting up for a game.

Alan was stacking deliveries. He told Mal the club has only 20 members. Mal's mate Scotty Smith from Tuggeranong Bowling Club is from here. Scotty tried to help us out with accommodation but it just didn't work.

There are two plastic synthetic bowling greens.

They looked nice but we had no time to roll up.

They were ready for a Tuesday social game.

The shade sails were nice.

And the ceramic logo.

With old bowls for corner markings.

There's a lovely memorial wall.

So we had to race away for a 2pm wheel alignment. We were concerned because we had to drive another 2.5 hours to a campsite and didn't want to drive in the dark. Scotty's Exmouth Mum Deidre tried to help us out with something here but the Overflow campsite she sent us to was $60 for unpowered and booked out anyway. We made it to KJJ for our appointment.

We were already impressed with them because, when we had our tyre changed at Port Hedland they couldn't align the wheels. We rang around and, although KJJ don't do wheel alignments on Tuesday, when we were there, they made an exception for us. John the owner sorted us out.

There were problems because of the new suspension we got in April. By 5pm the car still wasn't done. Jean told John about our long drive ahead and how worried she was about driving in the dark with all the animals on the road. He said because they took so long he was happy for us to camp at his back lot. He brought up the tractor and moved the caravan there.

We were so happy Jean gave him and his missus a hug.

We finally got our car back after 6pm. We're going to put a good review on Google.

Exmouth - bowls and very helpful people.
